THE ORGANIZATION

Phoenix Foundation for Research & Development (PFRD) is a non-profitable, non-government and humanitarian organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. PFRD is working for the integral development of the marginalized, vulnerable communities without any discrimination of race, creed, gender, and religion in Punjab since 2005.

PFRD came in to existence as a result of in-depth reflection and after having significant review by its likeminded group of men and women concerned for the integral development of the rural and peri-urban society, in response to unsatisfactory development and efforts made for socio-economic development of the marginalized and weaker section of the society.

The objective of the organization is Social, Physical, Psychological and Economic Empowerment of the Marginalized and Vulnerable People Especially Women & Children for Improved Quality of Life through research based rights based approach.

We are committed to safeguarding every child’s right to safety, dignity, and opportunity.
Our programs promote protection from abuse, exploitation, and neglect through awareness, advocacy, and community engagement.

We provide protection services to safeguard vulnerable populations before, during, and after disasters.
Our teams ensure safe shelters, family tracing and reunification, and protection from exploitation and abuse.

We work to reduce poverty by empowering vulnerable communities with sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Our initiatives focus on skills development, income generation, and access to essential resources.

Education & Literacy

We promote education and literacy as fundamental rights for every individual.
Our programs expand access to quality learning opportunities for children, youth, and adults.
